Article: Hurricanes are terrible to go through. They bring flooding, heavy winds, heavy rain. It knocks down power lines, and many other terrible things. Trees can break in half or get pulled right out of the ground and the winds from the storm can throw things through the windows or the doors of your houses. Huge amounts of water can flood towns, cities, and valleys. It can destroy everything in minutes or hours. It can cause debris to float in the water which makes it even more dangerous than it all already is.

Hurricanes can bring tornadoes, water damages, mold damages, building damages, and take businesses and homes from people. Hurricanes can do lots of damage to huge areas and it can take millions of dollars to fix the damages that the hurricanes have caused. If you have not been through a hurricane, flood, tornado, or an earthquake, you can really have no idea what people endure and how bad the damages and the storms can be. They can take everything away from you, your house, furniture, and vehicles, could be gone in minutes.

Hurricanes can put hundreds to thousands of people under stress and heartache because people lives get taken away and their homes are either gone or damaged. Floods can happen fast with out warning and people get injuries or trapped in or on something. Did you know that floods can do lots of damage to wires in building and in houses? Floods can swoop up anything and tear down anything that gets in the way. Hurricanes can cause many things to get in your house like stuff from sewers, trees, and trash.

Floods can cause everything to be under water for days or weeks depending on how bad it was. The winds from the hurricane can be so bad that things can be flying through the air and it can bend tree trunks like branches would bend. It can cause power lines to snap off the piles and sparks would be going everywhere or it can knock the piles on the ground or on the roads.

It can take literally years for towns to recover after they have suffered a flood, hurricane, tornado, or earthquake. Nothing packs a destructive fury like Mother Nature and she has no respect of persons or places when she decides to strike. In some cases we can have advanced warning for several days such as with a hurricane. Tornadoes are more easily predicted today than they used to be and floods can sometimes be foreseen as well when the rains are heavy for long periods.
