Do you know what happens in a drought? Water gets really low, and you have to watch how much water you use, whether it’s taking a bath, washing clothes or dishes, or watering your yard When it is really hot outside and there is no rain, the water starts to drop in the dams and in the rivers, and it can get down to a dangerously low level
When the water is too low, you may not be able to take a bath, you may have to only take a shower and it has to be a short shower because the whole family has to take one, too But if you are the only one in the house, you still have to take a short one It may only be for less than 10 to 15 minutes So when this happens, you better go fast to get all the dirt off your body and get really cleaned
When you wash your clothes, you can only wash one load a day or the whole thing once a week It can be really hard at times, but you have to work around it to get through it With little kids it can be hard because they can go through a lot of clothes, but you have to watch how much you use on them or watch how much they use, so you do not have a lot of clothes to wash
In some states, you can’t even water your yard due to the water being so low Your yard will get brown, and you will get bald spots on it But in other states when there is a drought, you can only water your yard a little bit, enough to get it through and to keep it a little green If you can do this, then you can only have it on for a few minutes
Water will come, but you just have to wait for it to rain and hopefully it rains a lot, but not too much because you could have a flood if it gets too bad When the rain comes, it can last for days and the drought will go away Then you can use as much as you need while being mindful of conserving Even if you don’t have a drought, you still need to save your water so you have enough when it does happen again
