I can still recall the things when I was only ten years old The floor area of my house was looking horrible because the entire area was flooded The whole area was under water including the apartments, stores, office buildings and the entire market place I was scared because of the water that I had never seen before Obviously I was scared at that time because I was hardly ten years old and could not grasp the situation that my parents were facing But now as I have grown up I can guess what situation exactly they must have been going through during that time

I still remember that my parents were sad but I could not guess why they were so upset But, that time as I was kid and I just figured that my parents were upset just because they have lost their daughter’s baby pictures I used to tell them that they can have my pictures again and I am still here with them A day or two after the catastrophic incident I heard them talking about document drying From the understanding that I had at that time I could only figured out that they were hiring a company that will take all their pictures, files and other important items to their workshop for a process called document drying

I can remember those days when my parents were coming back home with all their documents that went through the document drying process I was sitting with my twenty year old brother at that time and he seemed to be happy as well When I saw the documents and pictures that were once stained and wet were now dryer The conditions of the pictures were improved drastically I should admit that even at the age of ten I was surprised by knowing the benefits associated with the document drying process We do not want that flood should hit our area But, if the condition arises we should know what to do in the following situation People should be aware of the document drying process and should take advantage of it if the need arises Now, I know why my parents were upset at the loss of my childhood pictures and obviously now I can imagine the condition if I lose my babies’ childhood pictures in the flood Any parents would be upset if they lose their babies’ childhood pictures in the flood, but can save pictures if they know what document and picture drying method is
